Deb's Living Local Feast

One of the first supporter hosted Living Local Feasts was held recently, by passionate forager and local foodie, Deb.  Guests were treated to homemade cheeses; foraged cocktails; Acorn, spelt and herb bread; pine pollen and wattle seed crackers, wild pickled mushrooms; roadside foraged olives; backyard sultanas, and pick your own pine nuts....for entree!!

This was followed by an impressive mains spread featuring - Wild Rabbit with white wine and mustard; Grilled wild foraged mushrooms; Venison with birch bolete, pepper berry and caramelised onion; Roast vegetables with dandelion greens, spiced chickpeas and wild sumac.

Desert was Quince and walnut cake, poached quince, quince whey sorbet and clotted cream. I can't think of any better way to celebrate being a Tassievore and support the great work of SLT.  Thanks Deb!!
